Blue Door is an intimate cocktail bar and social lounge coming to the vibrant South End area in late summer of 2024. Brought to you by the team behind Trio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

HOSPITALITY: Offer exceptional hospitality and guest service, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere for all patrons.

INCLUSIVITY: Ensure all guests are treated with the same high level of respect and hospitality, fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment.

TEAM COLLABORATION: Be a great team member by assisting all positions in the bar, including servers and support staff, to ensure smooth operations.

GUEST WELCOMING: Greet guests warmly as they arrive, escorting them to their tables and providing menus.

SEATING MANAGEMENT: Efficiently manage table assignments and seating arrangements to optimize seating capacity and ensure smooth turnover.

RESERVATION HANDLING: Manage reservations, confirming bookings and accommodating special requests whenever possible.

COMMUNICATION HUB: Serve as a central point of communication between guests and servers, ensuring effective coordination and timely seating.

GUEST ASSISTANCE: Provide information about the bar's offerings, including craft cocktails and specials, and assist with any guest inquiries or needs.

MAINTAINING CLEANLINESS: Keep the host stand and waiting area clean and organized, adhering to health and safety standards.

ASSIST IN SERVICE COORDINATION: Support servers and bartenders by communicating table status, assisting with clearing and resetting tables, and coordinating with the kitchen and bar staff as needed.

PROBLEM RESOLUTION: Handle guest concerns and complaints professionally, escalating issues to management when necessary to ensure guest satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE: Previous experience as a host or in a customer-facing role is preferred.

PERSONALITY: Friendly and outgoing personality with a passion for providing exceptional hospitality.

ORGANIZATION: Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.

COMMUNICATION: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with guests and team members.

ADAPTABILITY: Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, maintaining professionalism at all times.

TEAM PLAYER: Willingness to assist team members and contribute to a collaborative work environment.
